Giulia still wants a crack at Mercedes Mone.
Giulia is the reigning NJPW Strong Women's Champion and her next title defense is slated to be against Stephanie Vaquer on March 10.
Giulia won the title from Willow Nightingale in July 2023 just over a month after Willow defeated Mercedes Mone in the tournament final for the vacant title. Mone hasn't wrestled since May 21, when she suffered an ankle injury against Willow at NJPW STRONG Resurgence 2023.
Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Giulia expressed her desire to face Mone.
"I have been thinking ever since I won the belt that I have to put this belt on the line and beat Mone to overturn this saying. I can't tell you right now where I will go from here, but I will continue to defend this belt until I find Mone," she said.
Giulia is set to become a free agent when her contract with STARDOM expires at the end of March.
Mone will reportedly debut for AEW at AEW Dynamite Big Business.
