Aonghus McAnally puts over Joe Carbray as a leader.
Since OTT's inception over a decade ago, the promotion has been ran by Irish wrestling staple Joe Carbray, with Joe stepping into the ring for the promotion from time to time. Aonghus McAnally has been announcing with the promotion for much of that run and says that Joe has inspired loyalty in many in Irish wrestling.
While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Aonghus reflected on his friendship with Joe, calling him a remarkable man in terms of leadership qualities.
"He's a remarkable man in terms of leadership qualities. I don't know that I've ever encountered anyone like him. His capacity to have people willing to take a bullet for him, almost literally, is very unique. He's an inspirational guy. He's a workaholic, but also really quite brilliant. I think the scale of the stuff he's done, obviously the stadium shows are huge, but even before that, even in the the early 2000s when he was playing 5,000 seeders across Europe and like France and Romania and all this kind of stuff with, you know, Sid Justice and Bret Hart and all these kind of people on those cards. He has an ambition that's unlike many people. He's just, like I would, I'd take a bullet for him. I love him to bits. He's been very good to me in terms of how he's handled me in the business over the 10 years. And yeah, very, very proud and happy to call him a friend."
