The Acclaimed win big in Las Vegas.
The feud between The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn and Cage of Agony (Brian Cage, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun) continued at AEW Double or Nothing, as they clashed on The Buy In. The Acclaimed and Gates of Agony clashed on the May 25 episode of AEW Collision before they agreed to meet in trios action.
Throughout the bout, Cage and his partners overpowered The Acclaimed and Gunn. They took out Bowens by smashing his leg in the steel steps. The former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions isolated Caster for a significant chunk of the bout, but he eventually tagged Gunn. Gunn was overwhelmed by Cage and the Gates of Agony, but Bowens valiantly rejoined the action and rallied. In the end, Cage went to use a chair, but Las Vegas Golden Knights mascot Chance stopped him. The distraction proved to be costly, as Gunn rolled up Liona to clinch the win.
This feels like an accurate representation of the Vegas Golden Knights exploiting the LTIR loophole. #AEWDoN #AEWBuyIn
