During the Straight Talk with The Boss w/ Magnum TA and Greg Gagne podcast recorded on September 12, Gagne was asked about Ventura's recent appearance on WWE Raw and whether or not he'd be interested in making a similar appearance. Gagne expressed his eagerness to appear as soon as possible if asked and shed some light on what he believes are some plans for Ventura moving forward.

"Right now," Greg Gagne responded when asked if he would like to appear on WWE TV. "I mean, with what they're paying those guys to come in, I think Jesse's going to do the -- they're doing some NBC Saturday night shows, about four of them, they're gonna use Jesse for that."

It should be noted that Gagne then went on to say, "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all. I'm done talking about Jesse." He then told a story of how Jesse didn't help Adrian Adonis' wife make an action figure for the East West Connection. He claimed Jesse wanted to be the Vice President for Donald Trump. "He's way out there," said Gagne.

Gagne closed by saying, "Next time I see him, I might knock him on his ass."

Jesse Ventura was one of the WWE's voices during the national expansion of the 1980s. Along with the birth of WrestleMania in 1985, WWE also launched Saturday Night's Main Event. Originally a quarterly replacement for NBC's stalwart program Saturday Night Live, WWE Saturday Night's Main Event became synonymous with the Hulk Hogan era of professional wrestling.

The event was originally retired in 1992 and was resurrected in 2006 before being retired again in 2008.

WWE recently filed a new trademark for Saturday Night's Main Event. Learn more about that here.

WWE is slated to host quarterly specials on NBC as part of a new deal bringing WWE Friday Night Smackdown back to the USA Network beginning September 13. Learn more here.
