The Miz will get another shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
At WWE Survivor Series, The Miz challenged Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Though Gunther emerged victorious, The Miz tested the champion, and the match was much closer than many fans expected. Since then, The Miz has requested a rematch, but Gunther has refused to give it to him.
On the December 11 episode of WWE Raw, Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) faced DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and a mystery partner. Gargano revealed that their partner was The Miz, and he led the trio to victory as he scored the pin.
Later in the show, The Miz confronted Gunther backstage and demanded a rematch. Gunther agreed to give him a title shot. However, Gunther said that if The Miz lost, he could not challenge for the title again as long as he still held the gold.

As of this writing, there is no word on when The Miz will challenge Gunther for the title. Fightful will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
