Two-thirds of Imperium have arrived on SmackDown.
During the April 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, Gunther and Marcel Barthel arrived on the blue brand. Barthel, however, came out with a new name, Ludwig Kaiser. He then introduced The Ring General, Gunther, who competed in a match against Joe Alonzo, winning with the utmost ease.

Fabian Aichner, the other member of Imperium, walked out on Barthel last Tuesday on NXT, though no explanation was given as to why he abandoned his partner.
Barthel has been with WWE since 2017 and has held the NXT Tag Titles twice. Gunther is the longest-reigning NXT UK Champion and has been with the company since 2019, recently having his name changed from Walter.
