Hangman Page is back and ready to settle scores.
Before the main event on the January 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Hangman Page returned and interrupted Matt Menard, who was talking to Renee Paquette, saying he wanted to whoop someone's ass.
In the main event, Swerve Strickland defeated Daniel Garcia.
After the bout, Hangman came out to confront Swerve. After a brief staredown, Swerve and Hangman started trading blows, leading to a brawl between the two men and officials needing to break things up as Dynamite came to a close.

Hangman was taken out on the December 13 episode of AEW Dynamite by the Devil and his men. The Devil turned out to be Adam Cole, who is joined by Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Wardlow, and Roderick Strong in the group. The attack came on the heels of Samoa Joe accusing Hangman of being the Devil.
Swerve and Hangman feuded during the final months of 2023, concluding with a Texas Deathmatch that was won by Swerve.
