Moose Says There Were Plans Of CM Punk Coming To TNA And Feuding With Him

Moose claims TNA had plans to bring CM Punk in.

CM Punk was released by AEW in September 2023. He then visited the IMPACT TV tapings in Chicago the night after IMPACT Bound For Glory 2023. Punk went on to return to WWE in November 2023. Before his return, fans buzzed about the possibility that Punk could potentially work with TNA, or IMPACT as it was then known.

On March 13th, Moose took to Twitter/X and said that when he was the TNA World Champion, there were plans of CM Punk coming to TNA and feuding with him. He noted that Punk's match with Brock Lesnar was one of his favorites, and he wanted to recreate something just as awesome. Moose also said that, obviously, these plans never came to fruition.

Punk was also backstage at the IMPACT Wrestling tapings in Chicago in April 2023.

Moose held the world title from October 2021 until April 2022, when Josh Alexander dethroned him. He later regained the gold at TNA Hard To Kill 2024 and lost it at TNA Slammiversary.

In 2023, Scott D'Amore commented on CM Punk attending IMPACT TV tapings. Click here to see what he had to say.
