Hanna And Haley Cavinder: We Didn't Grow Up Wanting To Be Wrestlers, It Just Happened

Hanna And Haley Cavinder were revealed as part of the inaugural WWE NIL class on December 8.

WWE's NIL (Next In Line) program was designed to pave the way for college athletes to enter the company. Hanna and Haley are twins who play basketball at Fresno State University. They also have 3.8 million followers on their shared TikTok account.

Speaking to TIME, the twins discussed their new venture to WWE.

“We definitely didn’t grow up wanting to become wrestlers,” said Haley Cavinder. “It just kind of happened. It’s right up our alley because it is entertainment. And that’s what Hanna and I do on the side.”

Hanna commented, “I don’t think there’s any concern. It’s just entertainment. We love connecting with our fans and bringing our audience to their audience and meshing them all together.”

Though they have yet to step foot in the ring, Triple H sees star potential in the twins.

“In today’s world, somebody like the Cavinder twins who are already out there showing that they are pretty much larger than life and creating brands on their own, those are people that are interesting to us,” he said. “They clearly have the personality and clearly are smart enough to figure out how to manipulate that charisma to make something of themselves. We can amplify that.”

WWE has had success with turning college athletes into superstars in the past, with a recent example being Bianca Belair. Bianca commented on WWE's new NIL program, saying she hoped she was a good representative of what the program can be. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
