Hermanos Chávez make history.
CMLL hosted 12/7 a new episode of "CMLL Sábado De Coliseo" live from Arena Coliseo (Peru 77) in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The show was headlined by Los Hermanos Chávez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja) defending their CMLL World Tag Titles against El Barco Fantasma's Zandokan Jr. & Difunto in aim to break the record of title defenses.
After a spectacular and hard-hitting affair, Los Hermanos Chávez ended up successfully defeating the challengers with Ángel de Oro locking in La Campana on Difunto as Niebla Roja locked in an inverted Campana to pick up the submission victory.
With this win, Hermanos Chávez broke the record of having the most title defenses in the belt's history, with 18 title defenses across only one title reign. The record was previously held by Los Guerreros del Infierno (Último Guerrero & Rey Bucanero) with 17 defenses, who accomplished the feat in three separate title defenses.
