Wagner Jr. spoke with Mas Lucha on January 24 ahead of the 84th Anniversary show for promotion "Lucha Libre Jesus Perez Rodriguez Aguascalientes", where he said he was still a free agent as of this moment, had bookings up until the end of May, and that he would be open to opportunities on the Mexican market. He stated the following:

“Right now we have the schedule full up until May so we will do all the currently scheduled dates. I am an independent wrestler so if a promotion is interested in my services, the year has 365 days and I am ready to take on all new challenges.”

Wagner also addressed the possibility of working outside of Mexico after competing in NOAH, where he explained he was focused on what would be best for himself and to elevate the prestige of his mask.

“Despite everything going around on social media, the adequate question to ask would be what I wanted. People will soon know what I want, but my main focus is what is best for me and make sure this mask continues to shine, whether in Mexico or outside of Mexico. Always focused on positive things that also favor Lucha Libre.”
