HOOK Wins Final AEW Rampage Match At AEW Rampage New Year's Smash

HOOK ends 2024 with a win.

HOOK has been feuding with The Patriarchy (Christian Cahe, Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Kip Sabian) in recent months, as the group was previously revealed as Taz's attackers. The rivalry came to a head at AEW Rampage Smash on December 27, which was taped at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

In the main event, HOOK and Wayne clashed in a singles match. Cage and Sabian were at ringside, and they interfered until they were ejected from ringside. Wayne targeted HOOK's arm, which was in a cast. He ripped the cast off and maintained the advantage. Cage and Sabian tried to interfere again, but Katsuyori Shibata chased them off. HOOK then emerged victorious, as he trapped Wayne in the Redrum and made him submit.

HOOK's bout against Wayne marked the final bout for AEW Rampage, at least for the time being, as Tony Khan confirmed that the show would be the last one for the foreseeable future when it was taped on December 22.
