Hulk Hogan: Cody Rhodes Is Doing A Great Job With The WWE Championship

Cody Rhodes has been the Undisputed WWE Champion since defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL.

Rhodes has taken pride in making all the towns and being a defending champion, though he is currently sidelined after being on the receiving end of a package piledriver courtesy of Kevin Owens at WWE Saturday's Night Main Event.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Hulk Hogan weighed in on Cody's reign.

“A lot of what we did back then still works,” said Hogan. “From time to time, you see him sort of ‘Hulk up’. That’s cool to see. But it’s so hard to compare. This is a completely different time. I slammed Andre The Giant once [at WrestleMania III], and that was it. Would one slam be enough now? I don’t know. So times have changed, but Cody’s doing a great job with the belt–and that’s not easy.”

Kevin Owens is now calling himself the True WWE Champion and carrying the Winged Eagle Championship.

It is unknown when Rhodes will return to WWE TV.
