On the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, Indi Hartwell interfered in Jade Cargill's Money in the Bank qualifier and cost her the match, as Tiffany Stratton pinned Candice LeRae to win. Cargill evened the score later in the show, as she attacked Hartwell during her qualifying match and cost her the bout.
Hartwell then took to Twitter/X and wrote that Jade Cargill was a nincompoop. She used multiple middle finger emojis to punctuate the message.

WWE announced that Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae would face Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair on the July 5 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Cargill and Belair have been feuding with LeRae and Hartwell for weeks. Belair and Cargill beat Hartwell and LeRae at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. They also defeated the duo on the June 7 episode of WWE SmackDown.
