The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title bout at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 came to an abrupt ending as DOUKI suffered an arm injury in the bout.
The injury occurred as DOUKI leaped off the top rope and to the outside, coming down with a leg drop onto El Desperado, who was leaning up against the railing.
DOUKI immediately grabbed at his arm, and the bout was called off by the referee. The announcers speculated that DOUKI suffered a broken arm.
El Desperado was declared the winner and awarded the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

This marks the fifth reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion for El Desperado. DOUKI's reign ends at 183 days. He made four successful title defenses.
After the bout was stopped Desperado praised DOUKI for going all out and said they would meet again.
