JungleHOOK is no more.
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, "Jungle Boy" challenged SANADA for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. FTW Champion HOOK accompanied Perry to the ring for the bout, which offered the challenger a chance to introduce himself to SANADA after the champion noted that he had "no knowledge" of him.
Perry took the fight to SANADA and even went for the champion's finisher, the Skull End. "Jungle Boy" delivered an impressive effort, as he dove onto SANADA and tested him throughout the bout. In the end, a Shining Wizard, which was shortly followed by a Moonsault Press, earned SANADA the win and the successful title defense.
HOOK came to Perry's aid after the bell, and JungleHOOK walked up the ramp together. Perry then blindsided HOOK with a clothesline and left the champion laid out. Perry grabbed the title and put it back down, seemingly expressing his interest in the title in doing so.

Perry and HOOK first teamed up in January 2023, and they reunited for a Tornado Tag Team Match against Dralistico and Preston Vance on the June 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. The do was undefeated as a tag team in their three matches together.
