Jaida Parker is ready for NXT Battleground.
At the PLE, Parker will compete alongside Michin, Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, Lash Legend, and Fallon Henley in a ladder match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
While speaking to The Ringer for a new interview, Parker was asked about prepping for her first ever ladder match.
“I’ve reached out to many of my coaches, those who have been in ladder matches. I wouldn’t say you can’t prepare for it, but the mental aspect of it, there’s no preparing for that, either do it or you don’t. I’m gonna do it with 110% because if I don’t, I won’t get what I want at the end of the day. The way that helped me ramp up for it, and I’m still ramping up for it, is just watching legends perform in different ladder matches and see how they do it. I was just watching RVD and [the] Hardy[s], you know what I’m saying? I had to put my mind in their position, I had to take myself out of my body and put it in their position like, what the hell are they thinking? What do I have to do to get there? They just went 110%, so if they can do it, why can’t I do it?”
Elsewhere in the interview, Parker talked about her mini-feud with Michin. Learn more here.
