Jake Hager On AEW Brawl Out: One Person Was Viewing Things Negatively, I Don't Think He Was Correct

Jake Hager briefly weighs in on AEW Brawl Out.

Fans haven't seen Punk on-screen in AEW since AEW All Out when he defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Title. He was subsequently suspended for his role in an altercation with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) after he made disparaging comments towards them and others at the All Out press conference.

Jake Hager, who is aligned with Chris Jericho on AEW television, appeared on Story Time with Dutch Mantell and was asked about AEW Brawl and the incident between Punk and The Elite.

"I'm sure I can, but I don't really want to," he said when asked if he could talk about what happened. "Who knows how animosity builds and how lack of communication leads to certain things. I think it all stems from how you view things. Obviously, one person in that party was viewing things so negatively and I don't think he was correct."

Hager noted that he wasn't present for the incident as he had already left the building.

The Elite returned to the ring at AEW Full Gear after serving their suspension. It is unknown if CM Punk will return to AEW TV. His frustrations with The Elite and adjacent parties reportedly dated back to before AEW Double or Nothing when he felt Hangman Page made comments he shouldn't have during a promo.
