Reflecting on his initial appearance in AEW during a recent appearance on Rewind Recap Relive, Roberts revealed that he was initially only scheduled to be part of the company for six weeks. Then, within a month, he was offered a contract.

"We made a deal for me to be there for six weeks, and at the end of four weeks, they gave me some papers saying I was going to be there for a year. Then, when the year contract was up, they gave me another contract for two years, and I just got another contract for a year. So, yeah, I'm still there."

Roberts initially revealed that he had signed a new deal with AEW in March 2024.

Before his pairing with Jake Roberts, it was possible that Vickie Guerrero could have managed Lance Archer in AEW. Learn more about that here.
