John Bradshaw Layfield, who has had his fair share of issues with Luchadors throughout his career, briefly commented on the new gimmick during the most recent Something to Wrestle podcast. JBL reveals that he knows little about the creative behind El Grande Americano and didn't want to comment too heavily, but he approved of the move.

"Yeah, I know a little about this. I know a little about some of the creative behind that. So, yeah, I think it's fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I don't want to give away the recipe, but because I know a little bit about this," he said. "I'm a huge fan of Chad Gable, that's why I know about it, because I -- anyway, I think he's doing a great job."

One person who is not debating the identity of El Grande Americano is Big E. E insists that he knows every inch of Chad Gable's body and that it's him under the mask. Read those comments here.
