JD McDonagh Talks To Finn Balor, Raquel Rodriguez Attacks Rhea Ripley | Raw Fight Size

Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for August 7, 2023.

- Finn Balor was talking to JD McDonagh backstage. He then got into a heated conversation with Damian Priest. Rhea Ripley broke it up and told them to act like men. She told Balor that Priest was trying to help him, but it didn’t work. They agreed to get along. McDonagh said the briefcase was getting between them, so he should get rid of it.

Tony Khan Comments On The Creation Of The WWE ID Program

- Adam Pearce told Raquel Rodriguez they were close, but she still wasn’t medically cleared for her title match against Rhea Ripley. Rodriguez later attacked the Women's World Champion. They brawled, and both Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell got involved.

- Shayna Baszler told Bdcky Lynch that she had a few scores to settle, and she'd be coming for "The Man" eventually.

- Becky Lynch looked ahead to her match with Trish Stratus. She also told Zoey Stark she could be chasing titles instead of playing second-fiddle to Stratus. Lynch then enjoyed some lemonade and watched on from ringside as Stark faced Shayna Baszler.

- Shayna Baszler commented on her win over Ronda Rousey and noted that she drove her out ofWWE.

- Chad Gable earned a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship by defeating Matt Riddle, Tommaso Ciampa, and Ricochet.

- Sonya Deville commented on her torn ACL.

- Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso were announced for WWE SmackDown.

- Cody Rhodes commented on his win at WWE SummerSlam and stated that Brock Lesnar acknowledged him. He noted that he felt like he could beat anyone. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins interrupted and challenged him. The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest) interrupted. Finn Balor attacked Rollins, and Sami Zayn made the save.. Rhodes then issued the challenge for a six-man tag team match.

- JD McDonagh attacked Sami Zayn backstage. As a result, Sami Zayn was unable to compete in the main event. Shinsuke Nakamura later agreed to take his place.

- Shinsuke Nakamura took on Bronson Reed. In the end, Nakamura dodged a Tsunami Splash and scored the win with two Shinshasas

- The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) returned and defeated the Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar).

- LA Knight and The Miz got into a heated confrontation as they went back and forth on the microphone. The Miz tried to attack Knight, but the fan-favorite dropped him with the Blunt Force Trauma.

- Sami Zayn helped Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio of the Judgment Day. Nakamura attacked Rollins after the match.

- The Miz was told to wait due to a photo shoot for LA Knight, and the former WWE Champion was clearly frustrated.

- Thanks to a distraction from Becky Lynch and her lemonade, Shayna Baszler defeated Zoey Stark.

- Maxxine Dupri was approached by Ludwig Kaiser, who told her that Gunther is looking forward to wiping the ring with Chad Gable. Kaiser told Dupri she had all the potential in the world, but she was running around with the wrong people. He called Otis a freak, and Dupri slapped him. Otis challenged Dupri to a match. They then clashed in a singles bout. Giovanni Vinci interfered and got suplexed by Otis. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther attacked Otis, and Kaiser scored the win. Gunther, Vinci, and Kaiser attacked Otis after the bell, but Chad Gable made the save.

- On Raw Talk, LA Knight vowed to use The Miz as a stepping stone to the main event scene so he could win some gold.

- In a WWE Raw Exclusive, Chad Gable shared his thoughts following his victory in front of his hometown crowd.

- Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez traded shots on social media.

- Chad Gable thanked the fans for a special night.

- JD McDonagh stated that it was time for fresh blood on WWE Raw.

- Bronson Reed referenced NJPW stable CHAOS when he tweeted about his match with Shinsuke Nakamura.

- Grayson Waller wrote that The Miz is better than LA Knight.
