Je'Von Evans: I've Earned The Opportunity, I'm Not Going To Drop The Ball

Je'Von Evans is ready for this moment.

Je'Von Evans is set for his first PLE at NXT Heatwave, already earning an opportunity at the NXT Championship at the age of 20.

Triple H Says He 'Can't Comment About Legal Stuff' When Asked About WWE Cooperating With Federal Investigation

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Evans was asked about the success he's already found in the company.

"Honestly, it’s still surprising to me. Every day when we’re training, I’ll be in the ring or just on the apron, learning from other coaches, it’s still unreal. I’m still like, yo, there’s no way I’m here. It’s starting to sink in a little bit. But I’m still like, okay, I’m signed, and this is a dream job. But just to have the thought that this is my first PLE, I’m in the main event for the title, it’s a goal that I didn’t think it would happen as soon as it did. But it’s cool. I’m grateful, blessed," he said.

Evans will take on Trick Williams, Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears in a fatal four-way bout at NXT Heatwave.

“I feel like not a lot of people understand that I’ve been wrestling for six years, seven years. So for me to be here and grind as hard as I have been since I got here, I’ve earned the opportunity, so now it’s here. The opportunity’s in my hands, and I ain’t gonna drop the ball. This is something that I wanted, and now it’s here, so I’m gonna take it," he said.

Evans earned his shot at the title by winning a 25-man battle royal.
