Jeff Cobb Says HENARE Had A Contract Offer From WWE, Took The Offer To NJPW And Stayed

Jeff Cobb comments on HENARE staying with NJPW.

At NJPW The New Beginning In Osaka 2024, Bullet Club WAR DOGS battled United Empire in a cage match that was the swan song for the current iteration for United Empire as Will Ospreay was leaving to join AEW.

Jeff Cobb and HENARE were on the same side in United Empire.

During the match, HENARE suffered a nasty head wound after a table was thrown at his head by Gabe Kidd. HENARE would be sidelined for three months following the injury.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Cobb revealed that HENARE had an offer from WWE during his time away.

"I heard that you had a good offer from WWE. But you went to the New Japan office with your WWE contract in hand and said to the president, 'I want to stay here.' You're not the only one who wants to stay and change this industry. I feel the same way," said Cobb. "It takes a lot of guts to tell that indiscriminate organization, 'Don't mess with me,' and to stay in the best organization in the world and prove yourself against the best wrestlers. I respect you. The fight is over. Let's go find a good kava bar."

Cobb and HENARE were on opposite sides at night ten of the G1 Climax 34 tournament on August 4.
