Jeff Hardy On How Long It Takes Him To Paint His Face And How Sting Inspired Him

Jeff Hardy hopes to inspire kids the way Sting inspired him.

As the Charismatic Enigma, Hardy has always expressed himself with his face paint and attire. But in the past couple of months, he's taken things to a whole new level with his creativity. Speaking to Cassidy Quinn of KGW8, Jeff Hardy was asked how much goes into painting his face and how he wants to inspire other the way a fellow face painted warrior inspired him.

Josh Alexander Says He Is Wrapping Up His Independent Dates, Might Do 'Special Things If Possible'

"The moment I find out I have a match, my first thought is, 'Okay, what colors are you painting your face tonight? What design is it going to be?' I have to have at least an hour to be confident it's going to be great," he said. "When I was a young kid, I reached out and touched Sting's shoulder. He had his face all painted up. And I said, 'I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna make someone feel like how he made me feel.' Hopefully that's what I'm doing now. It's a creative outlet. Instead of painting a canvas, I use my face and skin as canvas."

Hardy is currently off WWE television, selling an injury suffered in a Hell in a Cell bout against Randy Orton. He remains on the road, working live events.
