Jeff Hardy opens up.
This past Sunday at WWE's 'Hell In A Cell' PPV, the anticipated Hell In A Cell debut of "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy opened the show. Since the announcement that Jeff was going to have his first match inside of the structure, fans were coming up with numerous scenarios that had to do with how far Jeff was going to push himself in the match. The conclusion of the first Hell In A Cell match on that September 16th night saw Randy Orton pick up the victory but Orton walked away with a major gash on his thigh to the point that a piece of his flesh was hanging from it. Orton also had welts on his back and Jeff Hardy was taken away from the ring on stretcher.
In numerous interviews leading up to the 'Hell In A Cell' PPV, Jeff Hardy stated that being inside the monstrous structure was on his bucket list of things he wants to do before he retires and WWE cameras followed Jeff around on the day of the 'Hell In A Cell' PPV and prior to his match, Jeff Hardy shared his mindset as he was set to take a trip to hell.
“Mentally, before a big match like this its draining but once it gets started, once the bell rings and what happens in between. I mean it all... Its almost dream-like. Its like I’ve been there before - like I was meant to do this because I guess I’ve seen it so many times in my head that I wanted to do a Hell In A Cell for so long and it kind of feels like I’ve been there before." Hardy stated.
