Jeff Jarrett believes that Rey Mysterio could have a great run as a heel.
There are very few names that have remained in the babyface role for the entirety of their in-ring careers. Rey Mysterio doesn't quite fit in that category, but he has been a babyface for his entire 20 year run in WWE. In WCW, Mysterio had a brief stint as a heel alongside Eddie Guerrero and Billy Kidman.
On the latest edition of his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett was asked to name one lifelong babyface that would have been a good heel. Jarrett agreed with Conrad Thompson's suggestion -- Rey Mysterio.
“You know what, you landed on it. That would have been — If Rey would have bought into it and he would have been a cowardly, chicken-shit [heel that said] I’m gonna run from you but then when he got on offense hit all of his spectacular stuff. That could have been an entertaining sell.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jarrett talked about Daniel Garcia's match against Jack Perry at AEW Full Gear. Check out his full comments here.
Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega competed on the November 18 edition of WWE Raw. To catch up on the show, click here to check out our full report.
