Jeff Jarrett says Will Ospreay is holding all of the aces right now.
Will Ospreay joined AEW in February after wrapping up with NJPW. In his first match as a contracted member of the roster, he defeated Konosuke Takeshita in a thrilling match at AEW Revolution.
Speaking on My World with Jeff Jarrett, the Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on Will Ospreay's match at AEW Revolution.
“[Given] how many top talent that weren’t on the show, the depth of the roster is kind of amazing. But man, Will Ospreay is a special, special talent. His athleticism takes him to another level, and Takeshita, fantastic. We’ve seen both of them before. But there was something about that setting and that stage last night, just kind of the energy of the match, from the 10, 12 minute-mark, it bumped up a level, and it’s something about those, when you have a crowd, and where their placement was on the show, the recipe is always there to kind of steal the show. Anywhere from middle of the card to two matches before [the main event], you’re kind of in that scene-stealing match vibe because if you have that kind of match on two or three or four, there’s enough time on the show that you, I don’t want to say forget about it, but the rhythm of the show…my gosh. Hat’s off to both those guys. I’m excited to see where Will takes his career this year. In my opinion, he’s holding all the aces at this point. We’ll see where he goes. He was special last night," Jarrett said.
