Lee Moriarty is loving his time with Shane Taylor Promotions.
Since joining forces with Shane Taylor in late 2023, Lee Moriarty has continued to climb the ranks of both AEW and Ring Of Honor, primarily finding success in the latter by winning the ROH Pure Championship back in July.
Moriarty has praised Shane Taylor's guidance in the past, saying that he is a driving force of his success in Ring Of Honor. While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Moriarty continued to express his gratitude for Taylor, saying that he's always been supportive of what he has done.
"I’m very grateful to be able to share this time with Shane Taylor. Shane is someone that, while I didn’t know personally, I knew who he was since I discovered independent wrestling firsthand. I remember my first ever Indie show that I went to, to scout where I wanted to go to wrestling school, Shane Taylor was wrestling. I was in the crowd watching Shane Taylor compete. I think he might have wrestled my trainer, Brandon K. It was a cool thing for us. Before I signed with AEW, I had a conversation with him while he was in Ring of Honor, and he said, ‘Always remember who you are.’ Years later, he comes to AEW and by a whim, we get paired up. I know it’s something he has wanted, for me to be part of Shane Taylor Promotions, but when I officially joined, it was very much a surprising and full circle moment for us both. The thing that Shane Taylor has helped me learn is to, I’m always going to be a humble person, but I have to believe in myself a little bit more. I just can’t get rid of that humble nature. He’s always been supportive of what I’ve done. My views and insight on pro wrestling. The same with everyone who has come through Shane Taylor Promotions like Anthony Ogogo, Trish Adora, Shawn Dean, and Carlie Bravo. It’s a very cool group and the thing that makes our group special is that everybody is still their individual selfs. When I joined Shane Taylor Promotions, I didn’t change. Infantry joining, they didn’t change. Ogogo joining, he didn’t change. We’re just more unified. I take pride in being the prize fighter of Shane Taylor Promotions."
