According to Jerry Lawler, Jax got "real heat" backstage for roughing up Truth.

"This got real heat, for real. She blasted poor R-Truth and knocked him face first into the wall. He was hot. Real hot. They were having to hold him back, back there," said Lawler on his Dinner With The King podcast.

WWE shot a video of an upset R-Truth looking for Nia backstage with Titus O'Neil trying to calm him down.

There are reports floating around that Truth suffered legitimate face and ankle injuries during the attack, but he wrestled two matches on SmackDown, winning the United States Title from Shinsuke Nakamura before defending it against Rusev.

Nia Jax commented on the report that she injured Truth.
