Jey Uso reflects on getting ucey.
Throughout The Bloodline saga, Jey Uso has been involved in countless memorable moments. To this day, many fans still remember his classic "Ucey" moment with Sami Zayn, when the honorary Uce admitted that he was not feeling very Ucey.
In an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Jey Uso reflected on the segment and noted that it was both fun and embarrassing.
"The Ucey segment, it’s probably one of the dopest, fun and coolest segments on TV, but it was also the most embarrassing for me, because I was just stuck laughing on TV. There was a couple of times I just had to turn away from the camera, like I had to because I just had a big smile, man. If you really look at it, Roman [Reigns] was trying to poke at me, to crack me more," Uso said.
Uso went on to highlight how special the segment was, as there was a range of emotions that took fans on a ride. He stated that he did not think that the segment would ever be replicated, given how dynamic it was.
"If you look at that segment, me and Sami Zayn had a promo before that, which probably could have been its own segment, and then it evolved. It went from being so heavy to being light. We gave everyone every feeling in that segment. It was just the best! I don’t think that’ll ever, ever, ever, ever be replicated again," Uso said.
Uso also noted that while he was laughing every week, he tried to be professional. However, he said that it was hard to keep a straight face with Zayn and his stablemates trying to break him on a regular basis.
"I started to think to myself, I’m professional, you know? I need to chill out. But, man, it was so hard to keep a straight face with him and my brothers," Uso said.
Looking back on this unforgettable run, Uso stated that it was "probably one of the best times" of his wrestling career.
