Jim Duggan Didn't Think Daniel Bryan Would Make It In Wrestling

Jim Duggan says Daniel Bryan chased his dream.

Jim Duggan's wrestling career spanned over three decades and he wrestled for the biggest companies and territories of his time. In an interview with New Zealand outlet Newsie, Duggan spoke about the business of which he has been a part. He admitted the business is rough but he said it has been good to him. When asked about advice for young wrestlers he jokingly said they should take up golf instead because it has more money and is less physically demanding. He also shared his first thoughts when he met a young Daniel Bryan.

"But I always tell folks to chase their dreams. Look at the current roster, Daniel Bryan, when I first saw that young guy I thought there was no way this kid is going to make it. But there is a guy who had the drive and desire, and the work ethic and he did it," said Duggan.

Bryan will be facing Samoa Joe on Tuesday in a Money in the Bank qualifying match for which Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast.

Duggan also discussed his recent trip to New Zealand and the global reach of professional wrestling. The full interview is available at Newsie.Co.NZ
