He won the title from Dragon Rojo Jr. on the May 12, 2023, edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular. This is the first and only title reign with the title and his first world title reign of his career. He previously held the CMLL National Middleweight Title for 600 days, which he vacated 5 days after winning the world title.

He has successfully defended the title against the previously mentioned Dragon Rojo Jr., Flip Gordon, Ary Bradford, and against Volador Jr. three separate times.

Templario is currently part of the faction United Empire from New Japan Pro-Wrestling alongside Jeff Cobb, Callum Newman, The Great O'Khan, HENARE, Francesco Akira, Jakob Austin Young, and TJP.

While it has not been announced when his next title defense will occur, United Empire will be a part of CMLL's joint show alongside NJPW "FantasticaMania Mexico" against Los Ingobernables de Japon.
