Jim Ross On His AEW Contract: My Plan Is To Continue With AEW, It's Up To My Agent And Tony Khan

Jim Ross says he wants to stay with AEW and help the company however he can, but it's up to his agent and Tony Khan.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross signed with AEW in 2019, and he has been a featured member of the broadcast team ever since. He has missed some time due to health issues; he took a few weeks away after he suffered a fall ahead of the June 17 episode of AEW Collision.

Ross returned on the August 5 episode, and he has been on AEW TV ever since. The legend recently stated that he does not have a lot of time left on his AEW contract.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross was asked whether he would be with AEW with the long haul. He was also asked where the situation with his contract currently stands. He made it clear that he doesn't intend to change his employer, as he enjoys working for AEW. Ross stated that it's ultimately up to his agent, Barry Bloom, and Tony Khan.

“I hope so, Connie. I don’t have any intentions of changing my employer at all. I like working for AEW. I like working with these talents. I really enjoy being on Collision because I think we’re trying to develop a little different feel for the TV presentation. Not better than Dynamite, but different than Dynamite. So my plan is to continue in some role, and that’s entirely up to Barry Bloom, my agent, and of course, Tony Khan. They hold the cards. They’re doing the negotiating. So my goal is to stay at AEW and contribute and help wherever I can. So hopefully everything will work out okay. We’ll know in a few weeks, that’s for sure," Ross said.
