On September 2, AEW announced that they had terminated the contract of CM Punk.
Punk reportedly got into a physical altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In. After an investigation, it was determined that Punk endangered innocent people backstage at AEW and Tony Khan said that he felt his life was threatened.
AEW not only released a statement on Punk's termination, but Tony Khan addressed the live crowd in Chicago and the viewing audience on AEW Collision.
Speaking at Starrcast, Jim Ross was asked if he would have handled Punk's termination as AEW and Tony Khan did.
"I don't have any idea. I don't have all the facts. Neither do you. Bottom line is, the show must go on. That's up to the young men and women tonight to get in a huddle and bust their ass for the greatest show that people never expected," said Ross.
Ross said that he expects AEW to have a great show with AEW All Out as everyone steps up in light of what has happened this past week.
