Joe Hendry: There Is A Time And A Place For Concerts And There Is A Time And Place For Focusing On What This Championship Means

Joe Hendry isn't afraid to put the 'entertainer,' in sports entertainer. But he also knows the importance of being the World Heavyweight Champion.

Usually, he can do both.

That's what Hendry recently told Fightful's Joel Pearl, when asked about his budding friendship and potential musical collaboration with the recently-signed Elijah, in TNA. The two have shared the screen a couple times and while Hendry isn't ruling out future collaborations, he's also hyper-focused on defending his championship.

You’ve seen a couple of things on television. My personal opinion is I’m the World Champion and there is a time and a place for concerts, and there is a time and place for focusing on what this championship means and where it’s going to go. You can go concerts, but you can’t be doing them every week. For me, I am focused right now on my challenge at Rebellion. If it’s appropriate to do a concert at some point when there is maximum entertainment and a storyline reason to do it, then we should do it. It should be special. It shouldn’t happen every week," Hendry said.

Hendry is set to defend the TNA World Championship against both Frankie Kazarian and NXT's Ethan Page at TNA Rebellion, happening April 27 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
