Joey Janela Is Not Interested In Joining A TV Company Right Now, Wants To Focus On GCW & The Indies

Joey Janela doesn't have any interest in joining a television wrestling promotion.

Janela has stuck to the independent scene since leaving All Elite Wrestling in May 2022. The star still remains as one of the busiest wrestlers in the world, competing in promotions like GCW, World Series Wrestling, and DDT Wrestling on a regular basis.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm for a new interview, Janela said that he's focused on the indies right now, noting that GCW is more important to him than most promotions at the moment.

"There’s been people hitting me up, but I told them I’m not interested at the moment because I want to do indies, and GCW’s more important to me than a lot of this stuff. It was sometimes painful to be in an AEW locker room, to be watching a GCW show or something in the locker room, like a weirdo, like, ‘Fuck, I miss this.’ But it didn’t last long. Soon as I realized I could still do independents, I started doing them again, but then COVID happened, and that was a whole different situation."

Janela continued on by saying that he is very happy on the independent scene, as he enjoys having creative freedom.

Elsewhere in the interview, Janela said that he'd welcome an opportunity from WWE. Fans can learn more here.
