John Cena and Rob Gronkowski Set For Official Premiere Of FS1's WWE Backstage On November 5

John Cena‘s return to WWE programming has been announced.

On tonight's special preview episode of WWE Backstage on FS1 following SmackDown, Renee Young revealed that on not show’s official premiere on Tuesday, November 5, WWE legend John Cena and Former football star, Rob Gronkowski will be featured on the show.

This will be John Cena's first appearance on WWE television since the Raw Reunion special in July. John hasn't competed in-ring for WWE since January of this year. Should he stay out of the ring, this will be the first year without a John Cena match on pay-per-view since 2001.

Gronkowski appeared on the pre-show of WrestleMania 33, helping Mojo Rawley win the 4th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. since then, Gronk has teased a run in WWE a few times.

The show will officially premiere in 11 nights and become an official staple in WWE's weekly programming. Former WWE Champion CM Punk also tried out for the role of co-host, but was last quoted as saying he hasn’t heard anything back from Fox.
