John Cena To Appear As Guest Star On Season 36 Premiere Of 'The Simpsons'

John Cena is coming to Springfield.

Per Michael Schnieder of Variety, John Cena will appear on the Season 36 premiere of "The Simpsons." Creator Matt Groening, showrunner Matt Selman and producers Rob LaZebnik, Jessica Conrad and Tim Bailey discussed the upcoming season at San Diego Comic-Con, and they hyped up the first episode, titled "Bart's Birthday", which is set include guest stars Conan O’Brien, John Cena, Danny DeVito and Tom Hanks.

Bret Hart memorably made a guest appearance on "The Simpsons" in 1997; in "The Old Man and The Lisa", he bought Mr. Burns' mansion.

Cena has built up a successful career in Hollywood in recent years. He has starred in "Ricky Stanicky", and "Fast X", among other movies. He is also the star of "Peacemaker", a spin-off of "The Suicide Squad".

Cena recently announced that he will retire from the ring in 2025 after he goes on a retirement tour.
