John Cena, Miz, And More Referenced As CM Punk And MJF Exchange Words For The First Time

CM Punk and MJF opened AEW Dynamite with a twenty-minute back-and-forth on the microphone.

Last Wednesday, CM Punk interrupted an MJF promo, but said nothing and walked away laughing after MJF extended his hand. On Wednesday, November 24, Punk was set to open the show against QT Marshall, but MJF came out before the bout could get started and got into a verbal tilt with Punk.

MJF began by drawing attention to Punk's less-than-stellar UFC career and the seven years he took off from wrestling after walking away from WWE. Punk retorted by saying that he didn't know MJF stood for "My Jealous Fan," referencing a photo that circulated of MJF with Punk from when he was a child.

They continued on from there, tearing each other down. MJF said that Punk has always been number two behind the likes of John Cena and Triple H. He also said that Punk should be called PG Punk, poking fun at the content of his promos, saying he may as well come out preaching Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect.

Punk then compared MJF to The Miz and said that he was selling out Madison Square Garden while Max was marking out for Rosie O'Donnell. He concluded by saying that MJF is so busy talking about the pillars of AEW that he didn't realize he's been replaced by Britt Baker. Finally, he believes the only way MJF sits atop AEW is if he sticks around long enough for Tony Khan to have a daughter and marry her.

CM Punk proposed that they fight right now, but MJF rolled out of the ring.
