John Cena Talks His Relationship Problems With Nikki Bella

John Cena says he is ready to work through his problems with Nikki Bella

For two seasons, John Cena's relationship with Nikki Bella has been one of the focal points of Total Bellas. In an interview on TODAY, Cena addressed a scene from the show where he and Nikki were experiencing relationship issues. Cena said he finds it interesting when people automatically do not believe what is on television and also explained his mentality about his fiancee.

"I think in a relationship, you have highs and lows. That was an extreme low. You have two choices. You either jump ship and start a new relationship or move forward and try to work through it. We're going to move forward and try to work through it," said Cena.

The hosts of the show then asked Cena how he felt about the cameras being around for a personal moment. Cena said Nikki Bella and Brie Bella thought him how the cameras serve a purpose.

"What I admire about (Nikki Bella and Brie Bella) is they want to document their lives. They see how it helps people, a lot of the stories that they've been so open to sharing. They will meet people on the streets that are like 'you know I was going through something similar and you genuinely helped me with that,'" said Cena. "This is a tough moment for both of us. It was really cruddy to be in that moment and have people around you. But at the same time, if someone can watch it and maybe it helps them in their journey then I guess that's a good reason to capture it," he continued.

Cena went on to say he and Nikki are dedicated to working on their relationship and making the wedding a reality. Total Bellas is coming back in the spring for the third season. The clip from TODAY can be seen below.
