John Laurinaitis Files Sworn Statement In Regard To Janel Grant Lawsuit

John Laurinaitis has filed a sworn statement.

On June 8, John Laurinaitis filed a sworn statement requesting the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against him, Vince McMahon, and WWE be moved to private arbitration.

Laurinaitis filed a "sworn statement of facts" citing

  • As a full-time WWE employee at the time of Grant's NDA with Vince McMahon and WWE, Laurinaitis "believed" he was a "released party" from any and all Lawsuits brought by Janel Grant.
  • Per the terms of the Confidential Settlement Agreement, any issues that needed to be resolved would be required to take place in binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act.

It was reported in February by the Wall Street Journal that McMahon was under federal investigation for sexual assault and sex trafficking. Grant filed her lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and Laurinaitis on January 25.
