Johnny Gargano will appear on the March 14 episode of WWE NXT.
On the March 7 episode, Grayson Waller hosted The Grayson Waller Effect, and Shawn Michaels was the special guest. Waller insulted Michaels and NXT as a whole, and when Michaels got fired up, Waller challenged him to a match at NXT Stand & Deliver. Waller admitted that he'd love to teach Waller a lesson, but he stated that someone else who loved NXT would get that opportunity instead. Former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano was revealed as Waller's opponent at the premium live event on April 1.
Gargano hadn't appeared on NXT since the December 7 episode in 2021, where Waller took him out with a vicious assault. Gargano's WWE contract was coming up, and he spent the next few months away from the company to focus on his family. He returned on the August 22 episode of WWE Raw and joined the roster. But on the road to NXT Stand & Deliver, the former champion is returning to the place where he was once known as "Johnny TakeOver." Gargano will appear live on the March 14 episode.

Plus, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee announced that he would hold an open challenge for the title. He previously defeated Nathan Frazer to retain the title on the February 28 episode. The following week, Lee stated that he will defend the title again on the March 14 episode. Axiom approached him and expressed his interest in accepting the challenge, but the champion encouraged him to make it to the ring before everyone else to make sure he got the title shot.
