Jonny Fairplay dropped a scoop regarding WWE's plans for Melina.
In September it was reported by PWInsider that Melina had come to terms with WWE and would be returning to television within a week. Melina quickly disputed the report, saying she was not signed by WWE, but was open to a return.
Melina never did return to WWE television.
According to former wrestling manager and reality star Jonny Fairplay, the plan was for Melina to join NXT as a client of Robert Stone.
"I hung out with Robbe E two weeks ago and he has no idea what he's going to do. His plan was to bring in Melina and manage in NXT. She had to have surgery or something. They're not using the guy," said Fairplay on the PWTorch WWE TLC preview podcast with Wade Keller.
Fairplay didn't provide further details on Melina's status.
It is unknown if or when Melina will return to WWE television. Stone currently manages Aliyah as part of the Robert Stone Brand, but they haven't been on television since October when Aliyah lost to Toni Storm.
