Josh Alexander: I Tore Up My Shoulder A Little Bit At IMPACT Bound For Glory, I Didn't Need Surgery

Josh Alexander got a little banged up at IMPACT Bound For Glory.

At IMPACT Bound For Glory on October 21, Josh Alexander challenged Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship. Shelley scored the win in a hard-fought main event. The next night, Alexander faced Will Ospreay at the IMPACT television tapings.

Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Josh Alexander was asked whether he has had a moment to enjoy some of the highlights he has had in 2023, including wrestling Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada. He revealed that he tore up his shoulder at IMPACT Bound For Glory, but he refused to let anything stop him from facing Ospreay.

“Yeah, absolutely. A little inside baseball, at Bound For Glory, in that main event with Alex Shelley, I tore up my shoulder a little bit. Nothing that required surgery or time off, but stuff that was ailing me the entire time. The next night is when we taped that match with Will Ospreay, and nothing was gonna [inaudible]…100%, moving without my left arm through most of that match. Just to be able to step foot in the ring with somebody like Will, who I’ve watched. Everybody’s seen, everybody knows how good he is. But to get in there and go one-on-one and realize the type of chemistry that we had together instantly, first time stepping foot in the ring, and to be able to deliver a match like that for the IMPACT crowd, that’s the kind of stuff that builds momentum. That’s the stuff that I want to be a part of," Alexander said.

Alexander has remained active since IMPACT Bound For Glory, and he competed throughout the company's tour in the United Kingdom. He also wrestled at the IMPACT/AAA Ultra Clash taping on November 26.
