Jungle Boy Feels Christian Cage Has Everything He Is Missing As A Wrestler

Jungle Boy and Christian Cage have made for one of many rookie-veteran pairings in AEW as Christian handed Jungle Boy the ball at AEW Double or Nothing.

Jungle Boy last eliminated Christian in the Casino Battle Royale, earning himself an AEW World Title match. Since then, Jungle Boy and Christian have remained linked on television.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Jungle Boy discussed his relationship, on-screen and off, with Christian.

"It came about organically. It wasn't in the books, I don't think. We were both a part of the battle royale at Double or Nothing and I think that's where it was supposed to end, but we had this cool connection. I feel some weird connection to him. He's a really cool guy. He's a quiet guy. When he first came around, he didn't say a lot and I wasn't really sure what he thought of the whole thing. I'm not the most talkative guy either, so I got that. Over time, he's opened up and we've started talking more. Now that we've been put together, it's really cool because he has all the pieces I feel like I'm missing as a wrestler. The style that I've tried to emulate is a lot more new school and about crazy stuff and moves, which I love. With how he puts his matches together and how he thinks about things is so different than everyone in my age range and experience level, so it's cool to get that from him and pair it with what I'm doing," he said.

Jungle Boy said AEW does a good job of pairing younger stars with veterans, citing Darby Allin and Sting as another example.

Christian is set to challenge Kenny Omega for the IMPACT Championship on AEW Rampage.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Rampage beginning at 10 p.m. ET on Friday.
