On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Dan Lambert threw down the challenge for The Inner Circle, saying Junior Dos Santos and Men of the Year would battle them in trios competition. Chris Jericho accepted the bout on behalf of the Inner Circle.
American Top Team attacked Sammy Guevara after his successful AEW TNT Title defense over Bobby Fish on Wednesday, setting up the match.
Lambert said that Jorge Masvidal will be in the ATT corner, reminding Jericho of what he did to him with the flying knee.
JDS is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

A bout between MJF and Darby Allin was agreed to, but masked men who Tony Schiavone believed to be The Pinnacle attacked Darby in the parking lot. As a result of the attack, he was not cleared to compete. An update on Darby's condition will be provided on Rampage.

AEW Dynamite will take place on Saturday next week due to the NHL season beginning on TNT on Wednesday, October 13.
