Karl Anderson: When I Saw People Asking The Rock For Pictures At Gorilla I Was Like, 'I Gotta Get Out'

The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) were released by WWE in February. They had been off television since September and Anderson has been sidelined since November with a torn rotator cuff and a partially torn labrum.

Anderson has been changing his bio frequently on Twitter/X, with one bio promoting their podcast there they tell all on May 8th, including "Rock :("

On an appetizer for the May 8th Talk N Shop, Anderson and Gallows gave some insight into Anderson's bio.

Anderson: The Rock, with a sad face. I'm just going to say this about The Rock and why I put the sad face. I have to say this. The Rock was always on my Mount Rushmore. When I was in high school, I remember being drawn to The Rock. I always thought he was one of the greatest performers of all time. He's obviously the greatest star in Hollywood. Now that he's clearly on the board and running WWE, basically.

Gallows: And the media.

Anderson: And the media, obviously. People are enamored by the guy. I put the sad face there because it's clear, I'm hyping him up because I had him on a pedestal. He was on Mount Rushmore. I would have put four Rockys on Mount Rushmore. I put the sad face there because, how do I say this? Maybe this is a little disappointment like, 'Awww, I gotta talk about it.' I'm disappointed.

Gallows: Wrestling has grown so big and it's such a great thing to see it thrive and for it to be so healthy, but corporate wrestling changes everything. It really does. When corporate takes over in any facet of life or business, there are changes. Some, massively positive, so maybe not.

Anderson: I have him on Mount Rushmore. Maybe, just maybe, he'll be chiseled off that Mount Rushmore. Maybe. Maybe there's a little disappointment. The business is so different now.

Later on the episode, Gallows notes that people in the business were texting him about the Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton promo, telling him to watch.

Anderson: Trust me, when I saw people running up to The Rock backstage at Gorilla and ask for pictures. In Gorilla. I was like, 'I gotta get out. This ain't for me, brah.'

Gallows: That's what happens on the other side of the curtain.

It is unclear when Anderson and Gallows saw people asking The Rock for photos backstage as they were not on TV for any of The Rock's appearances past WrestleMania XL.

Elsewhere during the interview, Anderson commented on Kevin Owens' injury. You can find his full comments here.
