Karrion Kross is officially on the clock to make his eventual NXT return.
During NXT TakeOver: WarGames, a video aired that featured a vulture and imagery relating to the phrase “tick tock,” which is associated with Kross. Kross would later tweet about the video and in the post-NXT TakeOver: WarGames media call, Triple H opened things up by saying the following.
“Tick tock, Karrion Kross is back,” Triple H said.

Later in the call, Triple H did not say when Kross would return, nor about his recovery, but commented on the struggles regarding dealing with injuries such as Kross and Balor.
"It's kind of the new norm, but you keep moving forward. At the end of the day, it is what it is. The truth is, that goes for injuries as well as it does for anything as well. If you had told me Balor and Kross would have been on the shelf, especially Kross coming out of the win over Keith Lee and becoming champ, you just can't plan for that," Triple H said.
Kross suffered a shoulder injury during a match against Keith Lee for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: XXX, which Kross won. Both Kross and WWE confirmed the injury after the event, and Kross vacated the title as a result of the injury.
