At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay successfully defended his IWGP United States Championship against Orange Cassidy. Despite this, he still does not have possession of the title belt, the belt is currently in the possession of the former champion Juice Robinson, who watched the match from a Sky Box.
After the match, Ospreay and Aussie Open jumped Cassidy and aside from Roppongi Vice, one person that came to the aid of OC was Katsuyori Shibata. Shibata attacked Ospreay and had to be rescued by Aussie Open. After United Empire was gone, Shibata and Cassidy shared a moment in the ring together.
