Katsuyori Shibata Returns To NJPW At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19

Katsuyori Shibata made his return to NJPW at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19, saving Hiroshi Tanahashi from an attack by HOUSE OF TORTURE.

EVIL, Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru were going to choke Tanahashi with a wire before Shibata ran them off. The attack by HOUSE OF TORTURE came after Tanahashi defeated EVIL in a Lumberjack Deathmatch

Shibata then grabbed the mic and offered to face Tanahashi at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th. Tanahashi agreed to the bout.

Shibata's match against Tanahashi will be his first match in a NJPW ring in Japan since NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16.

With Tanahashi defeating EVIL, he will continue his retirement tour, which will end at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 when he has his final match.
